For over fifty years, Village Den has been a neighborhood favorite. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their menu has something for everyone. Throughout the year, diners can sit comfortably in their first floor dining room, featuring a mural upon their exposed-brick walls: their very own playful riff on Leonardo Da Vinci's, "Last Supper" featuring famous Big Apple visages of the past—our "Saints of New York." In the summer, if you prefer, you can sit outdoors amidst blossoming greens and soak up the sun.
Their chefs use only the finest selection of ingredients and feature diner classics in addition to more modern, lighter fare. No matter the time of day or type of occasion, they look forward to having you join them for a truly memorable dining experience.

Chicken Souvlaki—Marinated chicken with tzatziki sauce in a pita served with Greek salad and French fries
Greenwich Ave Panini—Thinly sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and mixed greens

Fast, friendly, and quality food.
I would recommend changing the default option from "No syrup" with waffles, etc. or "No [essential accessory]" with anything else that is perfectly complimented by a condiment (like fries, default should not be "No ketchup") to include that crucial accessory and make "No Syrup" something you have to select if you want to be a sugar Nazi or health fascist.
Seamless is about speed and ease of use. Was it an oversight on my part not to see it? Yes. But the default option should be to please the most people--not cut costs or appease the "it's not good for you-you shouldn't be taking in that much sugar" crowd.

Fast delivery and decent food. Kept ordering nonstop after my first order. Good breakfast egg menus.

On time delivery.Overall pretty good, but the toast was soggy because it was wrapped in foil and the large grapefruit juice is like size small.

Been a customer since it opened and the place has slid down to the bottom. Tonight the fries as delivered were dry, lukewarm, and obviously baked rather than fried. If you're a diner and you can't do fries right, it's time to close

Solid diner food. Very quick delivery.

F*CK THIS PLACE. They never send condiments. They always say 10 to 25 minutes and show up an hour later... food is fair Why did I do this to myself.

awful! nothing was cooked, even the fries were not cooked!

A heads up that the Bolognese has a cream base, not the traditional tomato one would expect. Should be stated on the menu clearly. Disappointed. Not sure what else on the menu lacks clarity....

Cheesesteak was pretty good. Could have used more cheese. Panini and salad were terrific as was the vanilla egg cream.

Working my way through the varied menu and have yet to be disappointed! Great value and servings that are sure to please you. Speedy delivery too. It has become my favorite diner in Chelsea.

45 minutes late, twice. They just blow you off, don't trust the time estimate.

$4 for a one egg sandwich and the egg has been fried with a TON of oil. So I spent $8 for 2 eggs. Money for old rope. Literally tasted like old rope! Never again - totally lost me as a customer.

Delivery was really fast, but the wrap I got had spinach in it that was grainy/sandy. Inexcusable.

Food is good, sometimes just okay, but the service is horrible. in the off chance they forgot something, the people I spoke with became very defensive. The order was corrected but very late.

The food was late - I ordered because this place claims to be quick 10-25 minutes and showed up in 40 minutes. The food was also cold.

cold, expensive, and tasteless.

This was really bad. I've never had such bland fries... I won't order from here again.

I ordered the prosciutto sandwich. First of all it was not prosciutto, it was thinly sliced plain old american ham. The sandwich had zero flavor and they cut the top bread in half but left the bottom piece whole, making the sandwich fall apart as soon as I picked it up.

Remarkable marinara sauce, loved the Eggplant Parm.
Keep in mind that the delivery man may not have the required documentation to get by security in some buildings.

I order from here all the time- they're super fast and the food is pretty good, so they're great for a quick last-minute meal!

I have no idea how the food is. Still waiting. They said 10-25 minutes, it's close to an hour now. Called but sadly just got "he'll be right there". Ya. No.

This place is fantastic. The food is very good, but most importantly from a diner, they always get the order right (even with special instructions) and they always deliver within the time promised.

Excellent breakfast. Eggs prepared perfectly, potatoes, bacon. All delicious and NOT greasy. ( like a couple of other coffee shops we have used) Very clean and well seasoned food. Beautifully presented and delivered in 15 minutes. Village Den will be getting our coffee shop business from now on.

Easy, quick upscale diner food - good service, on time delivery.

Never on time, and not honest about their timing. Ordered at 8:30 and never received the food. They told me to re-order , and still never received the food. And this is cereal I'm talking about.

Much better than your average diner/coffee shop. The Village Den has great breakfasts as well as lunch/dinner food. There delivery is very prompt and the food consistently good.

This place is best for breakfast. late night means stale veggies and funky fruit...
Posted 4 years ago by Scott G.
The Philly Cheese steak was horrible. They didn't use provolone (rather American cheese), the meat was thick, tough, and chewy, and the onions and peppers were greasy beyond recognition.

Excellent food and huge portions. Quick delivery made this a great choice on a late night in the office.

Our favorite place for simple food. Don't go fancy, but the basics are good and portions are right. Delivery is especially fast. Prices are on the high side, but that is typical for NYC dinners.
